Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson has built a career centered on serving Greenwood, South Carolina and the communities around it. He started in real estate in 2005, then moved into financial services in 2008, joining Edward Jones Investments as a licensed Series 7 and 66 investment advisor. Advising clients there on life and other coverage is where he found the work he actually wanted to do — and he became a licensed insurance producer.

In 2010 he left the investment industry for insurance full-time, joining a local independent agency where he spent eleven years across several roles:

• Life, Health, and Medicare agent
• Outside agent distribution recruiter and trainer
• Enrollment centers managing partner
• Life, Health, and Medicare business development director

He founded Fika Insurance Group in 2021 with a specific goal: an independent Medicare, Life, and Health agency giving unbiased advice and tailored recommendations. That independence is the point — Fika partners with leading carriers including Humana, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Aetna, and United Healthcare, which means a recommendation can follow the client’s needs rather than a single company’s catalogue.

His commitment runs past the paperwork. Chris is set on educating clients through complicated decisions so they end up with coverage that genuinely fits — the customer-first approach that has made Fika a trusted name for Medicare, Life, and Health insurance well beyond Greenwood.

Chris is married to Kara Johnson, his business partner and Fika’s Vice President, who has worked in insurance since 1997. Together they have four children and a shared conviction that good coverage buys peace of mind. Outside work, Chris is a devoted Clemson Tigers fan and spends his time with family.

He graduated from Ninety Six High School in Greenwood County and studied business and finance at the University of Phoenix.
